My Story
I grew up in a small town in Southeast Texas, facing many trials throughout childhood. I watched my mother suffer from mental illnesses, substance abuse, and suicide. My family fell apart, then life somehow carried on.

When I was 18, I left home to study at The University of Texas at Austin. My time at UT offered many opportunities for diverse experiences, deep connections, and unraveling a lifetime of conditioning. At the time, I was unaware this had become the beginning of my healing journey.

When COVID-19 swept the world by storm, my life projected into a downward spiral where I was plagued by old trauma patterns and self-destructive tendencies. I faced many trials along the way and overcame every. single. one. It could be due to my hardheadedness, or the years of therapy, either way, I've picked up a lot of tools along the way I'd like to share with others.

In that mess of a storm, I encountered the most beautiful ray of hope, my son. While he was a newborn, I pushed through to finish my undergraduate degree in Human Ecology, certified in Pre-Health Sciences. After an adjustment semester, I decided to pursue a Master's in Education for Counseling & Development from Lamar University.
Since then I've gained experience working in the legal field, picking up my skills in small business development for three separate businesses. As hectic as life, motherhood, has been, it has only motivated me to further pursue healing, education, and development.

If any of this resounds with you, let's chat & see if I could be a good fit in guiding you through the places I've already been. Join me today in working towards our best selves.
Currently,
I'm so glad to see you here!

I am a young, professional counselor-in-training at Lamar University & I want to put my various skills to use before I begin a private therapy practice. I have put together Free Mind, LLc to do just that! I hope with this business I can practice business development while teaching others how to personally develop. In doing that it is my wish to help others free their minds of burdensome conditioning, trauma patterns, and much more, by opening their hearts and diving deep.

Currently, I am a toddler mom, graduate student, small business owner, criminal paralegal, and bondswoman. At Lamar University I'm enrolled in M.Ed. Counseling and Development, with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy. I hope to begin my practice as an LPC and LMFT in 2025.

I am particularly interested in trauma-informed, existential therapy, CBT, psychedelic therapy, person-centered theory, family systems theory, development, play therapy, somatic therapy, trauma release, EMDR, neuroscience (neurohacking), humanistic counseling, and more.
